Henk and Mardi, the hosts, were knowledgeable and provided great suggestions for places to visit. We couldn't explore them all in our three-day stay, so we plan to return next year.
My children wanted more outdoor activities for families with kids.

We also appreciated the prompt response from the hosts when we requested sun loungers.

Beautifully restored historic manor house with a charming garden and yard area. The friendly hosts offer great tips and recommendations about the area. The air-conditioned room with a kitchenette was a great convenience. The breakfast was amazing with delicious food options.
The bathroom is open plan with no door in between. The wifi was intermittent and didn't work well in the room.

The location in a very upmarket area surrounded by a spacious and quiet garden adds to the serenity of the place. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The room amenities, including tea and coffee facilities, a patio, and free toiletries, were top-notch and added an extra touch of convenience. The kitchen was well-equipped with cookware and kitchen utensils, allowing me to prepare my own meals if desired. The electric blankets and flat-screen TV in the room were a nice touch, providing extra comfort and entertainment. The dining breakfast offered a delicious spread of food that satisfied my morning cravings.

Spent Xmas at this hotel and had an amazing time. the rooms were spacious and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. the breakfast was scrumptious with a variety of options to choose from. the hotel is situated in a quiet part of town but still close enough to the main attractions. the hosts were friendly and always available to help with any queries we had.
The hotel grounds were a bit neglected and could do with some attention. There were no outdoor seating areas and the pool was out of order.

The rooms at De Oude Opstal are absolutely stunning! The 40 m2 luxury room with aircon made us feel like royalty. The wooden floors added a touch of elegance that we truly loved.
Personally, we found the fountain on the private terrace a bit too loud at times. It might not bother others, but it was a minor downside for us.
